I was not particularly dissatisfied with the Normal muffler, but I was not at all uninterested in replacing the exhaust system, so I referred to webike's in-play article and others to see if I could find this Penske exhaust system used or Red Baron's used I was checking PartsSite and Yahoo!
So, I got a used one with good quality for 37,500 yen including tax. At the same time of getting Exhaust System, I have also bought KITACO's I-MAP.
I was able to install it myself with no problems. It's single cylinder so it's easy to work with. I had no problems with Clearance or anything else during installation. I've been riding it for about a week and it seems to be Large sturdy even without Heat Guard.
It is sound, but the bass when Idling sounds. I feel it is a little annoying to the neighbors. When I start running, the volume drops, so I warm up while running.
The I-MAP setting was first set at 3 (Sports Exhaust+5%) based on other imprecise articles, and I personally set it at 2 (Sports Exhaust±0). I haven't ridden it to high speeds yet, but at setting 3, I felt it leaning a bit at low rpm.
After replacing the Exhaust System, the feeling of torque is not a problem at all. Commuting to work, climbing hills, signal start etc... I don't feel worse than the Normal muffler.
The feeling of increased horsepower is quite palpable. With about 50% Axel opening, the pull of 5 or 6,000 rolls in a straight line is definitely up for grabs.
The sound of the exhaust system while driving is also suitably sensual to hear through the Helmet.
Personally, when you take into account the fact that the Full Exhaust System was available for less than 40,000 yen and the actual experience, I felt the cost performance was pretty good.
