The NORMAL car has a very slow response in the mid RPM range from fully closed to slightly open throttle, and it is easy to cause a so-called "Donkki". In the case of Monster 796, since WiringSpace is narrow, those who want to install Harness neatly and neatly need to spend some time routing Harness and arranging it. It needs to be wrapped up; it can be a pain if you're not into DIY.
I wanted to have some understanding of how the product works and how to use the Trimmer settings, so I hooked up the oscilloscope and checked the waveforms. First of all, the SETTING Trimmer is set to match the characteristics of the O2 Sensor with the Quantity:It was found out that you cannot change the value from the value specified in the Construction Manual by Set. If you change the setting, the operation will become unstable and the Engine will malfunction. The Trimmer setting is a discrete value and should be adjusted to the positive value on the scale. Hmmm...anything different from the Construction Manual, you don't want to do.
FUELRATIO's Trimmer, as far as I've checked with Idling, setting 0 is TransQuantity:It is a pair of rents, that is, it outputs the same waveform to the ECU as the input from the O2Sensor (Photo 2). Therefore, setting 0 is the same as not having this installed. I wanted to know if the setting was a discrete or continuous value, so I probed around 0.5 while checking with the oscilloscope, and as a result, unfortunately, it was also a discrete value. That means you can't set the intermediate value at 1 after 0 (photo 3). running at 0.5 may seem to work a little better than 0, but that's Brush-boo. If you set it to 1, RAPiDBIKE-EASY receives the input from the O2 Sensor and instead of processing it, RAPiDBIKE-EASY interprets it, calculates it, and produces a completely different digital signal and outputs it.
Monster796 has 2 cylinders, and the vehicle's ECU reads and controls the 2 cylinders independently. 1pc. of the (same) correction factor was expected to be multiplied by the fuel injection amount of both cylinders equally, etc., but it turned out that each cylinder is controlled closedLoop independently. RAPiDBIKE-EASY is also controlled by 2 channels, and when we checked to see if the same output was being output by both channels, it was found that both channels were being controlled independently (Photo 3). The vehicle and RAPiDBIKE-EASY were controlled much better than expected, and the ECU was not fooled easily, but rather, the control was quite advanced.
The effect of installing RAPiDBIKE-EASY is exactly the same as NORMAL at 0 setting as described above. With 1 setting, the response below 4,000 rpm will be improved and torque will be improved. Launching will be easier and the car will be much easier to drive in the everyday range. The fee-ring of the rotation is also good, with a good, powerful explosion of each shot. This is a clear improvement, so we recommend it to people who value it. By the way, when you change the settings of 0→1 or 1→0, it seems to take some time for the ECU to learn, so you need to drive for at least 5 to 10 minutes, or a few kilometers to a dozen kilometers, to get the fee-rings that you set.
The Demerit fitted will have a torque-trough between ClosedLoop (up to about 4,000 rpm) and OpeningLoop (over about 5,000 rpm) at setting 1. Also, above 5,000 RPMs it seems too dense and heavy, and the exhilaration of the high rpm range is lost. If you want to run at high rpm and GunGun, you will feel that Demerit is a good choice. The 0.5 setting was expected to be a compromise, but as mentioned above, the 0.5 setting is not available. 1.5 is probably not available and the 2 setting is too rich, so if I had to use it, I would choose the 1 setting.
If the intake and exhaust systems are NORMAL, as described above, but in my case, I changed the Air cleaner to K&N, and if I changed the Exhaust System (Silencer) to OEM in my country after installing RAPiDBIKE-EASY, the ECU's protection circuit will work even at setting 1. It has become. It seems that the protection circuit is independent for the front and rear banks (cylinders), and in my car, it seems to recognize the error of the O2 sensor of the front bank, and the protection is applied, and the feed back of the fuel regulation in the ECU does not apply only to the front bank. As a result, only the front part of the car will be faded, so there will be a feeling of sluggish rotation. Once it becomes like that, even if it is set back to 0, it won't be released until you drive 2 hours = 50km (it takes time to re-learn).
That's why, in my case, I ended up removing it, but I think it's a satisfactory product. I can recommend it for people who have a NORMAL intake and exhaust system and put emphasis on the ease of driving in the daily range of low to mid RPM. It is not recommended for those who focus on the exhilarating feeling of high rpm and those who play with the intake and exhaust system.View Detail
