This brake pedal is worse than the photo supplied. It’s poorly made just like the quality of alloy used to produce this product. Wouldn’t recommend to use this pedal as it bends when pressure is applied to use the rear brake, due to it being soft. I would return it if webike would allow. Don’t purchase as it’s not even worth a few dollars. Very disappointed. Will not buy tanaka parts again. View Detail

[How is it used?
Since the NORMAL Brake pedal is tasteless, we decided to use the standard footprint for dress-up purposes.

Was the one you received as per Image?
It felt a little larger than the Image.

Was the installation difficult?
It is shaped to sandwich the NORMAL Pedal and can be installed with a single Driver.

How was your experience with it?
The area where the Brake is stepped on is larger and easier to step on, but on the other hand, the surface to be stepped on is higher, and it took some time to get used to it.

In addition to the PedalBody, a Bracket and Screw are included, which are inserted from the back.

The return of the rear brake was getting worse, so I took a closer look and found that the spring that returns the brake pedal was rusted (lol).
That's why the return is so bad.
It is called Brake return spring.

What is a "Brake return spring?
The product contents of the drum brake is a spring that pulls back the brake shoe, which is pressed against the brake drum, to its original position when the brake is released.


[When a glitch occurs...
(1) Brake pedal does not return.
→Brake will be stepped on.

(2) Interferes with the Kick pedal.
→Kick pedal hits, Kick pedal does not go down, etc.

Case of the defect
Rusting over time
Spring has grown too long and cannot work as Spring. 。
→I think it is best to replace this part when it malfunctions, rather than to talk about maintenance. 。
It is a cheap component.

Replacement procedure.
(1) Step on the rear brake pedal or push it by hand to move it.
↓
(2) You will see Spring when you move it.
Replace this.
↓
(3) Remove Spring with Spring hook or Radio pliers.
↓
(4) Attach a new Spring.
↓
(5) Spray lubricant, etc. lightly.
↓
(6) Check the operation.

◎Rear brake return is now Smooth with no problems at all.
◎Stop-lamp lighting is also fine.

Spring is really small, but I realized once again that we should not take it lightly because it is related to Brake (laugh).
