The latest rear shock delivers excellent control and feedback to rider . The shocker must first be sprung for your weight , then easy to follow instruction help you set it up . The ride this shock delivers is confident inspiring competence , and is a perfect partner to the FGRT208 fork .
I have one of these on my '19 XSR900. The purchase and installation was done by the dealer.
The OEM rear suspension of the XSR900 seems to have a harder setting for overseas use, and I felt a shock that pushed me up from below when I went over uneven road surfaces and highway bridge joints. At first, I thought it was a break-in process and ran 1000km, but after that, it did not change and it was the source of the fatigue of touring. I thought about changing the setting, but it is troublesome to find the best setting in OEM, so I decided to change the rear suspension. I thought about changing the setting.
For the XSR900, the OEM option KYB suspension and OHLINS suspension with hose type adjuster are also available, but I didn't want to clutter up the side of the vehicle. I chose this one.
After the replacement, the ride is much smoother than before and I don't feel any shocks when driving which I was worried about.
At the time of the replacement, the OEM Spring color was Silver, so I was hoping that at least the Spring color would be Black, but now it is Color:Spring in Yellow is also good to be Accent.View Detail
It's a '14, but as expected, I couldn't stand the crunchy ride anymore and decided to replace it
For personal reasons, it was not possible to use a hose type hydraulic adjustment mechanism or anything else that would stand out, so OHLINS I went with the Simple one of
Well, even if I could make a lot of adjustments, I wouldn't use it that much in the way I ride
The ones that arrived are, of course, brightly colored:Spring in Yellow
personal reasons (Lol) Spring is painted black to make it less noticeable by
It's a bit of a hassle to assemble, but as you said, it's a bit of a hassle If you can make it to Smooth
Is it difficult to manage Torque?
I couldn't tell, as expected from just straddling it, but when I got out of Garage and onto the road There are three steps of two to three centimeters, and it's usually like, don, don, don, don, don It became a ton of Smooth
It's very cold and there's a bit of snow here and there, so I didn't get to run much, but at least I was able to do it Wonderful One word
MT 09 Racer's Rear suspension is hard and bounces, it is too severe, so it is exchanged to OHLINS, indeed OHLINS is not too hard, a movement that follows the road surface. After all it was a correct answer by exchanging with OHLINS.View Detail
I just tried to manage Rear shock of XSR 900 just hard. It is good now, but it is not just soft, but it is clear that Shock is doing work. There is also a MODEL that has various adjustment functions in a separate formula, but there is no need to adjust to beans so much, and I liked the appearance, so I made it a simple model. * At the same time Front spring replaced OHLINS. I tried various combinations of Pre-road and damping with Normal suspension, but after all I could not run bouncy fun terribly. I was worried a little because it was various, but it was a dramatic change. If you exchange for this suspension, even if the road surface is bad, Traction will not come out. I was able to run happily with confidence.View Detail
Honestly was expecting more from it, took it to a suspension shop to tune to my spec, is it worth 1400 Aud, approximately 300 Aud FeDex and about 300 Aud custom clearance? Maybe. Looks nice, I had a couple of good Ohlins shocks on my track bikes which offered more adjustment and when acceleration it is night and day difference, but the category of this bike is still a more naked/sport touring bike, maybe my mindset is wrong, rode about 200kms now, I have done: heavy, sharp, smooth acceleration, top speed, low speed, stoppies, some twisties, did not meet my performance level exception, but again, maybe Ohlins intentionally wants more comfort rather than performance? Great looking tho, texture and everything up to Ohlins standard, this is just a short term review, who knows, maybe the setting for currently is all wrong, might have to tune it again. Will write a long term experience later but currently that's how I feel.View Detail
The best investment ever for my bike. It really transformed it. Perfect fit. It includes everything you need for a proper installation. Adjustment is required to your weight and riding style.View Detail
This was a upgrade from a GO Race tuned rear shock. Granted the go race most likely needed to be serviced, but this was big improvment. I can't say it's worth the money unless you just want to spend some money...but nice if you do. View Detail
About quality and texture: I am happy with the quality of the rear shock absorber from Ohins, only the best materials used and surface finishes obtained as you would expect for the price. Almost exclusively made from aluminium to keep the weight down and anodised for durability. About the feeling of use: The look of this rear shock absorber fitted to the Grom is sensational and the feel from the rear end while riding is like a completely different motorcycle now, with the ability to adjust pre-load, rebound and compression the adjustments are endless. Products to buy together: The Ohlins fork insert kit would also be desirable to purchase along side their rear shock absorber but sadly is not currently available here on Webike so would need to be purchased elsewhere. Difficulty of installation: The process to install takes about an hour, only 2 bolts holding it in place, I removed the rear hugger, seat and rear plastics then supported the rear of the motorcyce with an A frame and strap. A little difficult to do. Cost performance and comparison with other products: An extremely expensive option for a rear shock absorber for the Grom but if you have the money to spare you will not be disappointed. Any aftermarket rear shock absorber will be better then the Honda one and the options available from YSS should be looked at if your budget is limited. About shipping and packaging: Sea frieght is my preferred method of shipping due to the lower cost and it is fantastic that it has returned as an option once again so I can put my money toward parts and not high shipping costs. Webike kept me updated on the status of my order up to when it shipped. The parcel arrived within the expected date range and was well packaged with no chance of the part being damaged. Any concerns, cautions, or advice when purchasing: Specifically designed for the JC61 model Honda Grom so the fit and operations is perfect. View Detail
View Detail

Billet monobloc Stylema calipers , the dust seal equipped beauties , ready to enhance your ultimate streetbike / track day / custom build . When Brembo announced the billet version Stylema , I was very interested in the fact these calipers bridge the technology gap between full race monobloc calipers and street use calipers , so I knew I had to own a set to try them out . The traditional cast Stylema is already the best factory fitted premium caliper , and rightly so , but these precision billet masterpieces deliver truly next level braking performance .I have fitted my set to 2023 H2 Ninja , and the big speed washes off with 1 finger control , highly recommended .View Detail
This beautifully machined piece tops off the TTX Ohlins shock on my H2 very nicely . This sort of detail addition is what I look for when customizing my bikes . View Detail
Custom swingarms for ZX14R that aren't 4 inch + over are rare , maybe even non existant , till now . This beautiful arm features machined billet ends , and varying thickness extrusions , to give strength and flex where required . OEM length , it is not optimized for drag racing as other companies aftermarket arms for ZX14R are , but instead , built to enhance the bikes handling ability on road or even closed circuit . I first discovered Striker swingarms some years ago , my other ride runs an arm , namely my Gen 2 Busa , so when I found Striker also made an arm for ZX14R , I got Webike to get onto getting me one . Now ordering a special piece for your bike has been made easy . When you think about the high quality build and materials , and the artizan welds , the price is really pretty good value .View Detail
Running the dark smoke for street riding which is fine , but limits vision for certain riding conditions such as night riding prone . The screens are well manufactured as you would expect , been relying on zero gravity screens from the 90's for various bikes I have owned . The clear screen is perfect for track use , the half smoke is great for street and also okay for track use . View Detail
